Objectives of the Air Show
The objective of the 2012 MCAS Yuma Air Show is to continue to enhance community relations with our neighboring communities. By opening our gates to the public and delivering a free, world-class Air Show in Yuma is just one way to extend our sincere thanks to the Yuma citizens for their unfailing support to the Air Station year-round. It also allows us to continue to educate the community on the mission of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, as a whole.
As a secondary objective, the Air Show is an opportunity to showcase all branches of military service and provide the local community the opportunity to interact with their local recruiters and better understand the role the military plays in supporting the overall defense of our nation.
Air Show Performer School Visits
We at MCAS Yuma are in partnership with the 2012 Air Show military and civilian performers who are interested in visiting local schools to share their aviation experiences and answer questions about the upcoming Air Show.
