MCAS Yuma Airshow

Lend A Hand

The Yuma Airshow is a fun way to get involved. While you are working you can feel, hear and see the excitement all around you. We are looking for adults, 17 and older, to volunteer their time to work at the Airshow. We need volunteers to be available for a minimum of 8 hours.

We ask all volunteers to allow time to park. Parking for volunteers will be at the Group Exercise building, Oasis Pool, and Bowling Center. (map coming soon). Shuttle will pick up and drop off at Flight Line entrance. 

Once you have arrived at the Flight Line, report to the Volunteer Headquarters at the beginning of your shift to check-in. You will also report here at the end of your shift to check-out.

Water will be provided, however you are encouraged to bring your own. If any special requirements are needed, please remind your Volunteer Manager.

School Group Volunteers

Coordinators of High School clubs, groups or organizations may contact the MCAS Yuma School Liaison Officer if you would like to volunteer and represent your school at this year’s air show.  To register as a school/ school group please call the MCAS School Liaison at 928-269-5373.


Available Duties

  • Twilight Show

    Volunteers will assist in various areas to include the Commanding Officer's Chalet, Fun Zone, main Chalet area, and Grandstand seating. Duties may include scanning of tickets, alcohol service, and clean up. Volunteers must have a pleasant attitude and customer service skills. Training will be provided at the event. We encourage volunteers to arrive in a timely manner to find parking, eat dinner, and go over any training.

    Evening Shift

    Volunteer dinner will be served from 4:00pm to 5:00pm

  • Grandstand and Assigned Seating

    Volunteers will control entrances to the grandstand and box seating area. Duties include scanning tickets and banding with appropriate wristbands. Volunteers must have a pleasant personality. Training will be provided the day of the event. In the event of an emergency, volunteers will assist patrons to exit the area in a timely and efficient manner. We encourage volunteers to arrive in a timely manner to find parking, eat dinner, and go over any training.

  • Chalets (VIP Seating)

    Volunteers will be assisting our Marketing Team to ensure that guests are directed to their correct Sponsorship or VIP Chalets. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with general food & beverage placement/service and to ensure that beverages remain fully stocked. Finally, Volunteers will assist with after event clean up.

  • Beer & Bar Sales

    Volunteers will be assisting bar staff ensuring supplies are maintained, cleaning of general area, check wristbands for 21+ ages, take beer/drink tickets from patrons, pour beer, and other duties as assigned. Volunteers may be asked to ensure that beverages are fully stocked and may include transporting beer kegs. General clean up duties after the event are to be expected.*Must be 21 or older to handle alcohol.

  • Retail

    Volunteers will be assisting patrons in selection of merchandise for sale. General clean up duties after the event are to be expected.

  • Special Services

    Volunteers will assist the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer check in/out, serving lunch, and maintaining immediate area clean by cleaning tables, sweeping, and emptying trash.

  • Fun Zone

    Volunteers will be in charge of monitoring the bounce houses and ensuring they are within their capacity limits. Volunteers are to watch for any mishaps and report to the POC. Volunteers need to have a mature attitude and be able to commit to the tasks at hand.Training will provided on site before shift.
